We had the great pleasure and privilege to interview a select number of leading luxury heads operating in the Australia/New Zealand and Oceania region and explore more deeply their career path, their defining moments, some key lessons on how and why they chose their particular path.
We are passionate about luxury retail and the career opportunities it affords, hence the creation of these special videos which provide personal insights from key luxury brand leaders and highlight the opportunities, and in this video interview, what qualities in particular that Karin Upton Baker values and looks for when bringing key people into her team, amongst other great advice she provides. As a long time luxury leader with a wealth of global experience Karin’s career has taken her from the colourful and dynamic beauty industry working early in her career with Estee Lauder, through to the coveted world of fashion and beauty with Vogue Australia, then Harpers Bazaar Australia and a stint in the USA prior to her current and long term role as custodian of the esteemed Hermès brand in Australia. Karin is well versed in the nuances and drivers of sustainable success in the luxury industry and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to present this Q&A for you.
