Description:
Our client is a prestigious menswear department store that houses a number of leading brands. They specialise in luxury products and are looking for a motivated Assistant Store Manager to join their team.
This position is responsible for the day to day successful and seamless management of the menswear area, including and not limited to providing ‘exceptional’ client service on an ongoing basis, effectively, efficiently and consistently. Leading a team to achieve stated key performance indicators, including sales targets, items per transaction, average sales per transaction, effective inventory management (shrinkage), whilst training and developing the team to ensure they are receiving the tools they need to produce the best possible result each day.
Responsibilities:
• Sales targets
• Client Relationship Management (including database management)
• Stock management / Inventory analysis
• Visual merchandising of the "Classic" area
• Working with the Assistant Manager and Store Manager to hire (when required), train and develop the team further
• Effective roster management of the "Classic" area
• Reports as required
• General other administrative duties as required
• Responsible for a team of up to 5 (this number may increase at peak times), whilst working closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager
Key Requirements:
• Minimum of five years in retail with at least one of these in a management role
• Strong and proven sales achievements
• Proven ability to nurture existing and develop client relations
• Tailored menswear experience is essential to be successful in this role
• High level knowledge across the broader range of men’s apparel including silhouettes, fabrics, finishes and alteration options - essential
• A natural communicator and someone who possesses a consultative approach and wants to deliver above expectations with a high level of motivation and positive energy
