Assistant Store Manager - Luxury Brand

Description:
Our client is a prestigious menswear department store that houses a number of leading brands. They specialise in luxury products and are looking for a motivated Assistant Store Manager to join their team.
This position is responsible for the day to day successful and seamless management of the store, including and not limited to providing ‘exceptional’ client service on an ongoing basis, effectively, efficiently and consistently. Leading a team to achieve stated key performance indicators, including sales targets, items per transaction, average sales per transaction, effective inventory management (shrinkage), whilst training and developing the team to ensure they are receiving the tools they need to produce the best possible work each day.
Responsibilities:
• Sales targets
• Client Relationship Management (including database management)
• Stock management / Inventory analysis
• Visual merchandising
• Hiring (when required), training and developing a team in concert with the Store Manager
• Effective roster management
• Reports; including daily, weekly and monthly
• Security
• Open and closing of the boutique
• General other administrative duties as required
• Responsible for a team of up to 15 (this number may increase at peak times), whilst working closely with the Store Manager
Key Requirements:
• Minimum of seven years in retail, 2-3 years of that should be in a management role
• Previous Store Management experience, or prior Assistant Managers will be considered if experience is relevant to the large footprint, staff management and traffic flow
• Strong and proven sales achievements
• Proven leadership (including examples of staff development, low-turnover etc)
• High end fashion apparel experience – essential
• A natural communicator and someone who wants to deliver above expectation across all functions and does so with a high level of motivation and positive energy
