Description:
Our client, a leading furniture and design brand provide an extensive range of chic, discreetly-elegant furniture and stylish homewares which are complemented by the brand’s exclusive distribution of top-tier international brands.
This position is responsible for the daily running and routine of the showroom in conjunction with the company policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities will extend to staff management, customer service, showroom maintenance, administration, liaison with senior management in addition administering OHS requirements.
You will be required to manage rosters and training alongside HR and Senior Management, in addition to your involvement in weekly meetings to discuss leads, sales progress and performance within your direct team. Furthermore, you will instil motivation and discipline within the team.
Your attention to detail will be important with regard to ensuring that all details are accurately conveyed to the client and documented on all sales forms for administrative processing. The Showroom Manager will also be required to ensure that all Design Consultants convey the desired level of service that adheres to the overarching brand image.
Your eye for detail will extend to ensuring that the showroom presentation is maintained to a high standard at all times. Accuracy in layout, labelling, item details and pricing is paramount.
You will also be required to manage, with the showroom administrator and the warehouse manager, all client product support files. You will meet often to discuss files and actions and then communicate to the client while your administrator provides the system and communication support back end with suppliers, logistic and contractors.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years proven experience within a similar role within the furniture retail industry. Computer literacy on all Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook is required. Inventory maintenance and inventory system experience is also necessary. You will have proven managerial skills and team building skills, in addition to excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to plan and prioritise the workload and multiple projects at the same time effectively will aid you well in this position.
