Description:
Our client, one of the world's most renowned luxury brands pride themselves on their reputation for delivering the very finest in product quality and service. A retail director is required to manage a network of stores and to provide strategic direction enabling the growth of the business. You will be required to oversee retail operations on a daily basis and to enhance those operations via the creative and effective use of all resources.
In addition to following our client’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities will include, but are not limited to management of the overall regional network of stores and leading merchandise management and business development. You will be required to undertake local marketing and communication strategies in close collaboration with communications teams and general management. In addition, marketing communications including event management, monitoring store development needs and opportunities shall be required. You will endeavour to ensure efficient administrative management alongside upwards communication and reporting.
Our ideal candidate will possess a minimum of seven years experience in retail network management and a university degree, an MBA graduate is preferred. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including profit and loss management are essential. A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop staff and drive sales will ensure success in this role. You will pride yourself on your excellent presentation and interpersonal skills alongside the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
An entrepreneurial spirit is sought in addition to a self-starting ability which will ensure that you are able to work with minimum supervision. Energy, dynamism and influencing skills are also requested.
